Danette joined Harfst and Associates in 2010. Danette is a principal of the firm, serves as the Chief Operations Officer and is a Financial Advisor.
Danette has over 25 years of career experience in the non-profit, legal, and investment industries with an emphasis on executive leadership and business management. She brings extensive finance experience from her 10+ years as the Fiscal Administrator for SOASTC (a JCAHO-accredited non-profit residential treatment center) and as the CFO for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley. Prior to joining Harfst and Associates, Danette was the CEO/Executive Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs. With over 100 staff members and 30 board members, she led the regional Clubs which served over 6,000 children each year in 7 locations throughout Southern Oregon.
She has also volunteered on several other non-profit committees and board of directors. Her commitment to leadership and volunteerism was recognized when she was honored as the 2011 Grants Pass Women of the Year. As a Financial Advisor for our firm, she enjoys working closely with our non-profit clients as she appreciates and understands first-hand their needs surrounding board development, fiscal responsibility and resource development.
Danette was raised on a cattle ranch in California and has lived in the Rogue Valley since 1983. She is the proud parent of Sara and Jon who are students in the Ashland School District. Together they enjoy ranch-life on their property in Jackson County. Danette is also proud to be a member of the Ashland Rotary Club where she serves as the Community Support Foundation's treasurer.
Danette received her Bachelor's Degree from Southern Oregon University in business administration and psychology. She is currently studying for the Certified Financial Planner exam.
